An animators guide for making smooth head turns for Dib. This was a pretty difficult turn to make look OK. The hair is a little floppy but this is just a general guide and not meant to be perfect. The key positions were put in place first and then tweens interpreted (forced) as best as I could. The geometry of the hair and head couldn't exist in reality which makes it more difficult. Dibs appearance also changes quite a bit between seasons and even from episode to episode, especially in the forehead area. Most of the references used for this turn are from the 2nd season and represents the most common or averaged appearance.

Thank you! I don't draw much IZ stuff, mainly because the heads are so tough to draw, and this really helped me! :D

Eventually, but probably not soon. I have no problem doing the bodies so I don't need that reference as much.

There is the Dib turn provided by Haloflooder (link below) and there is an official 1st season Dib turn sheet in the SoapyWaffles.com base archive in the forum.

I think it looks good! Really helpful when drawing Dib. And I have noticed how his forehead changes a lot through the different seasons. Anyway, great job!
